The museum maintains an extensive library on the history of the war period as well as genealogical data for those searching for their roots.  The library is open to all for serious research, and contains many period documents not available elsewhere.  Complete records of soldiers names and units are the centerpiece of the library.  There is also much information on battles and campaigns of the war.
